Emma Rickert
Teacher
I have had the pleasure of working with aspiring dancers since gaining the first of my dance teaching qualifications in 1998. Over the years, I have taught as a freelance teacher at many prestigious dance schools throughout Queensland, from Cairns to the Gold Coast. My students have consistently achieved outstanding results in RAD and COMDANCE examinations, as well as success as prize winners at Eisteddfods.
Training
I began my dance training at the Dianne McLellan Dance Academy in Bundaberg at the age of seven, studying RAD Ballet, CSTD (Comdance) Tap and Jazz, as well as Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Cabaret, and National styles. I completed my advanced training at the Anne Fraser School of Dance in Maroochydore, achieving Advanced 1 in RAD Ballet, CSTD Theatrical Shield and CSTD Gold Cross Performance Award in Tap and completing both my COMDANCE Teacher’s Certificate and full Teacher’s Diploma.
favourite style of dance
I love all things Theatrical which includes character Ballet, Musical theatre, Song & Dance and Cabaret, however, I do have a special interest in Tap dancing.

Why do you teach?
From an early age, the art of dance captured my heart—both on stage and from the audience. At just nine years old, I decided that teaching dance would be my future. I am deeply passionate about creative expression and musicality, and my goal is to inspire these values in every student I teach.
